HONORARY CHAIR-MAJ TRACY DUFAULT (US Army Veteran), Walmart SVP, Merchandising Operations-Food
Tracy Dufault is a 1993 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She joined the US Army as an Aviator, Armed Scout OH-58D, one of the first women selected for this track. Tracy was also the first female pilot in her unit at Fort Drum, and the first female to be selected as a DES Instructor Pilot and Team Leader. She then went on to the 101st Airborne Division, where she became the first female Cavalry Commander, serving as Condor 6 for C/2-17 CAV. While attending Harvard Business School, Tracy was promoted to Major and transitioned off active duty, finishing her career in the Army Reserves in Bristol, RI, in 2004. She received her M.B.A. from Harvard in 2004 as well.
Following her time in the Army, Tracy worked with HEB , General Mills, and Daymon Worldwide. In August 2017, she joined Walmart as Vice-President of Merchandising Operations for Packaged Goods for the US business, and was promoted to SVP Merchandising Operations for Food in October 2019. In her current position, Tracy and her team support the Food Merchandising Organization in business analysis, forecasting, replenishment and modular development and execution.
Tracy lives in Rogers, AR, with her husband, retired Army Aviator, LTC Frederick Dufault, who served 3 combat tours and whose career culminated in commanding 3-1 CAB of the Big Red 1. They have 4 children, 2 grandchildren (with another on the way), and two dogs. Tracy recently took over as the President of the NWA Youth Hockey Association.
