Propper International & Sheep Dog IA form an exciting new partnership

Below is the recent Press Release regarding our new partnership with Propper International. We would like to say a special thank you to Propper for their trust and confidence in us as an organization. We look forward to a healthy relationship together as we partner to make a positive impact in the lives of our fellow Sheep Dogs, and those we assist via our disaster response missions.

Rogers, AR (February 29, 2012) – Members of Northwest Arkansas-based Sheep Dog Impact Assistance™ are pleased to announce a new partnership with Propper International, a leading supplier of American military and first responder gear and apparel.

Propper International officials announced in February that the company will donate a portion of proceeds from its summer 2012 apparel collection to support the Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) organization.

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance is a non-profit organization that works to serve the needs of the men and women serving in our military, law enforcement, fire & rescue and EMS services – a community of people they call “Sheep Dogs.” In addition to its financial support, Propper will work to increase awareness of SDIA, specifically its direct assistance programs, disaster response teams and survival preparedness education.

“PROPPER feels fortunate to have the opportunity to give back to the communities we serve through this new partnership,” said Bryan Griggs, President of Propper International Sales. “We have seen the amazing impact they [SDIA] have had on the communities they assisted with disaster relief or local families of service men and women.”

Founded in 2009 by 1stSgt Lance Nutt (USMC), Sheep Dog Impact Assistance was inspired by the events following Hurricane Katrina and Nutt’s desire to use his military training and experience to help others in need. Since then, the organization established its first official SDIA chapter in Rogers, AR and has been growing steadily ever since.

“For our organization, ‘helping others is a way of life’ and with Propper’s support our ability to help others will greatly improve,” said Nutt, now President of SDIA. “What makes this partnership so perfect is that we are both working towards a mission focused on serving the needs of our nation’s military and public safety personnel.”

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance operates through independent, local chapters across the country. Sheep Dog Impact Assistance has three primary missions – provide assistance to military, law enforcement, fire and other emergency personnel in times of hardship; support communities during natural or human-afflicted disasters; and provide information on survival and disaster preparedness.

Propper International is one of the largest suppliers to the United States armed forces, having manufactured over 120 million garments for the U.S. Department of Defense. Propper also manufactures apparel for law enforcement, first responder and tactical markets. Propper commercial products are distributed through more than 2,500 military, law enforcement and specialty retail stores and websites across the country. For more information, visit

Previously, Propper donated holiday gifts for five children of Sheep Dogs during SDIA’s Christmas Adoption Program in 2011, and similar donations are anticipated as the partnership grows. Members of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance will now use Propper tactical gear and apparel during events and disaster response missions.

The partnership with Propper will expand SDIA’s ability to assist people during and after disasters. Proppers support also enhances SDIA’s ever expanding mission to engage and assist societies Sheep Dogs.
