Warrior PATHH Training Facility Progress

December 2022 – There has been great progress on the Warrior PATHH Training Facility (WPTF) – sheetrock is up & painting is being done in the main building, and the north dorm is in the dry. There is still much work and many materials and supplies needed to complete the project by our Grand Opening date of July 13, 2023 (SDIA’s 13th anniversary). We have received $350,000 in grant funding for the build out, with the estimated complete cost of the WPTF at $750,000.

Construction Progress

PROGRESS!

October 2022 – We are making steady progress on the Warrior PATHH Training Facility out at Heroes Ranch at Rush Springs and it is so exciting to see! The Main Lodge is “in the dry” and crews are hard at work finishing the inside.

With material and supply chain disruptions, we will not make our original Grand Opening date of November 11, 2022, but we hope to have the main building completed by the end of 2022.

Like everyone else, SDIA has been affected by cost increases on fuel, building materials, supplies and just about everything else. As a result our Facility is over budget by 25%. To offset this and anticipated future overages, SDIA is looking for individuals and companies to partner with us by donating supplies, labor, fixtures, etc.

REGISTRIES

We have created registries with specific items needed for the build, and we invite you to purchase and donate any items of your choosing.

MATERIAL NEEDS

Our immediate needs for donated/deeply discounted materials are:

  • Mechanical/HVAC – equipment, install/labor;
  • Drywall & Wall finishing;
  • Paint; and
  • Trim.

If you or your company are interested in being part of this facility and life-changing program for our nation’s heroes, please reach out to Jayme Lingo (JLingo@SheepDogIA.org or 740-502-7475).

Background

SDIA is honored to offer the Warrior PATHH training program in Northwest Arkansas through a partnership with program creators Boulder Crest Institute. Adding to its prestige, the Warrior PATHH program became part of the Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network in February of 2021, helping Veterans and First Responders get the assistance they need for traumatic brain injuries and mental wellness. Recently the Avalon Network made organizational changes, and is now called the Avalon Action Alliance.

On Veterans Day, November 11, 2021, we officially broke ground on the Warrior PATHH Training Facility (WPTF) on the hill overlooking Heroes Ranch. The WPTF will be a multi-use building with a classroom, large kitchen and dining area, a lounge and dorm rooms to house students and participants.

Special thanks to our Heroes Ranch staff, donors, supporters and contractors who have done incredible work improving the buildings, creating the archery range and labyrinth, and the rest of the property for our guests.
