On Veterans Day 2025, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) proudly stands with our nation in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women who have worn the uniform. Veterans Day is more than a date on the calendar; it’s a chance to recognize not only the battles fought overseas but also the unseen struggles many face when they return home.
This year, SDIA is honored to join Boulder Crest Foundation (BCF) in supporting the release of Ripcord. This powerful new short film highlights one of the greatest challenges facing Veterans: the transition from combat to civilian life.
Ripcord: A Veteran’s Toughest Battle
Ripcord tells the story of a Veteran’s most difficult fight, not on the battlefield, but after coming home. The film is a reminder that the courage to “pull your ripcord” and seek help can be just as life-saving as the courage shown in service. It emphasizes that asking for support is not a weakness but the first step toward healing, growth, and Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG).
By sharing Ripcord on Veterans Day, together we can bring greater awareness to the struggles Veterans face and highlight the hope and resources (like SDIA) available to them.

At SDIA, our mission is to engage, assist, and empower Veterans and First Responders. We know the battles don’t always end when service does. Through Outdoor Adventures, Warrior PATHH training, and Continued Service opportunities, we help our nation’s heroes move beyond trauma and discover strength, healing, and renewed purpose.
The message of Ripcord resonates deeply with our work: reminding every Sheep Dog that it’s not only okay to seek help, it’s heroic. When one of our heroes finds the courage to “pull their ripcord,” they open the door to a journey of Post-Traumatic Growth and lasting change.
