2026 Heroes Ranch Poker Run Brings Riders Together in Support of Veterans and First Responders
Rain in the forecast couldn’t stop riders from across the region from getting on their bikes and getting behind the mission.
This weekend, motorcycle riders, Veterans, volunteers and supporters came together for the 2026 SDIA Heroes Ranch Poker Run, benefiting Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) and its mission to engage, assist and empower our nation’s Veterans and First Responders to #GetOffTheCouch and live their best lives.
Riding for a Mission
The 2026 Poker Run kicked off at Mach1Moto Indian Triumph in Rogers, Arkansas, where riders gathered before hitting the road for a day built around camaraderie, connection and support for those who have served.
The ride ultimately led participants to SDIA Heroes Ranch, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance’s 60-acre property near Jane, Missouri, where Veterans and First Responders participate in programs designed to encourage continued engagement, connection, purpose and posttraumatic growth.
Despite the threat of rain, riders showed up ready to ride.
Motorcycle Clubs and Riders From Across the Region
SDIA was honored to welcome members of several motorcycle organizations, including the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 7-2, Blue Knights, Military Veterans Motorcycle Club of Kansas and America’s Militiamen Riding Club.
Individual riders also traveled from throughout the region and from as far away as Texas and West Virginia to take part in the event.
That turnout made the Poker Run about more than the miles traveled. It was another example of what can happen when people choose to show up for one another and rally behind a shared mission.
Every Mile Supports the Mission
Funds raised through events like the Heroes Ranch Poker Run help Sheep Dog Impact Assistance continue providing opportunities for Veterans and First Responders through programs including Outdoor Adventures, Warrior PATHH, Disaster Response Missions and other #GetOffTheCouch initiatives.
These programs create opportunities for Sheep Dogs to reconnect with a sense of purpose, challenge themselves, serve others and strengthen meaningful relationships with people who understand the experiences that come with a life of service.
Every registration, donation, volunteer hour and mile traveled helps move that mission forward.
Thank You for Riding With Us
To every rider who climbed on a motorcycle despite the questionable forecast, every volunteer who helped make the event possible, every donor and sponsor who supported the cause, and everyone who welcomed the riders to Heroes Ranch: thank you.
Your support helps Sheep Dog Impact Assistance continue serving those who have served others.
The weather may not always cooperate, but Sheep Dogs know a little something about showing up anyway.
We’ll see you on the next ride.
