Northwest Arkansas, it’s almost go-time.

On April 9, 2026, communities across the region will come together for NWA Gives, a powerful 24-hour online giving event supporting nonprofits that serve Northwest Arkansas and beyond.

At Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA), this day isn’t just about donations—it’s about fueling a mission that changes lives.

And now, we’re just one week out.

Why NWA Gives Matters to SDIA

Every dollar raised during NWA Gives directly supports SDIA’s Get Off The Couch® (GOTC) Continuum of Care, helping military members, veterans, and first responders rediscover purpose, connection, and growth.

Through your support, we are able to:

Provide Outdoor Adventures (OA) that re-engage and reconnect
Deliver Warrior PATHH training that builds Posttraumatic Growth
Mobilize Continued Service & Disaster Response Missions that restore purpose through service

Posttraumatic Growth is a positive psychological transformation that can happen after trauma. The science of PTG demonstrates that when we’re forced to reflect on our lives and make sense of the destruction caused by trauma, our struggles can become a catalyst for change. Trauma does not have to be the end of the road, rather it can be the path to a new beginning. At SDIA, we actively teach and foster PTG through every aspect of our programs - Outdoor Adventures, Warrior PATHH, and Continued Service. Avalon Action Alliance Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is proud to partner with Avalon Action Alliance—a national network committed to connecting veterans and first responders with life-changing care, while removing financial and geographic barriers. Together, we deliver transformative solutions for those facing the overlapping challenges of mild traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, and substance abuse—fostering growth, healing, and long-term well-being. Boulder Crest Foundation Partnership Warrior PATHH, a cornerstone of our Get Off The Couch™ programming, was developed by the Boulder Crest Foundation (BCF)—the global leader in Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) programs. Created in collaboration with Dr. Richard Tedeschi, founder of PTG and Executive Director of the Boulder Crest Institute, and Dr. Bret Moore, Army psychologist and Deputy Director, Warrior PATHH offers the first-ever training program to transform struggle into strength through PTG. SDIA began offering Warrior PATHH in Northwest Arkansas in March 2021, continuing our mission to empower our nation’s heroes with purpose, healing, and connection.
