At Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA), our mission is clear: engage, assist, and empower our nation’s heroes (military members, veterans, and first responders) through programs that transform trauma into strength. One of the most impactful ways we do this is through Warrior PATHH (Progressive and Alternative Training for Helping Heroes).
Warrior PATHH at Heroes Ranch
This week, Heroes Ranch is hosting Course SDWP066, following the successful completion of Course SDWP065. These intensive, peer-led, 90-day programs are designed specifically for veterans and first responders struggling with stress, depression, and other challenges. Warrior PATHH focuses on Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG), the idea that good things can come after bad things, and that trauma can be a catalyst for deeper strength, resilience, and purpose.

- 76% report stronger relationships with loved ones.
- 23,724+ Sheep Dogs served across all SDIA programs since 2010.
- 180+ PATHH graduates each year, with numbers growing as Heroes Ranch expands.
Every course, including SDWP065 and SDWP066, represents lives changed, families strengthened, and communities positively impacted.
What We Do, Why We Do It, How We Do It
- What we do: Deliver innovative, peer-led programs like Warrior PATHH, Outdoor Adventures, and Continued Service/Disaster Response Missions.
- Why we do it: Veterans are 57% more likely to die by suicide than civilians, and at least 250 first responders die by suicide each year. We refuse to let heroes face those struggles alone.
- How we do it: By creating safe spaces like Heroes Ranch, guided by fellow Sheep Dogs, where trauma is met with connection, purpose, and the tools for lasting growth.
