Daniel Boone

Daniel brings 23 years of experience in proven strategic and effective leadership to all his projects and business. Goal oriented,  and process- and customer-focused, he is a bilingual and multicultural executive with strong experience leading teams in sales and marketing, financial planning, category management, operations, production control,  logistics, quality, customer service, within the consumer product groups and auto aftermarket industry (OEM, retail, wholesale and exports).

Throughout his career, Daniel has led projects and assignments around the world, including Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, US, Canada, Europe and Asia. He has firsthand successful experience executing specific tasks and leading from shop floor to executive teams. He has strong experience dealing with headquarters (reporting directly to the CEO and presenting to the board), with cross functional teams and with customers across levels (Buyer-CEO).

Daniel started his career in Johnson Controls Mexico as production supervisor and held several roles of increased responsibility in Mexico. He came to USA in 2003 as Director of Operations in San Antonio, and then moved to Arkansas in 2008 as Managing Director, Customer Business Unit, Walmart (still with Johnson Controls). In 2014 Daniel moved to Spectrum Brands where he was Vice President and General Manager leading sales, marketing and P&L for Walmart and Sam’s Club across all 7 divisions (Pet, Home & Garden, Home Appliances, Automotive, Hardware & Home Improvement, Personal Care and Batteries). Here he helped with the integration of the automotive division and also helped lead the divestiture of 2 divisions without impacting the customer. Daniel implemented BBP across divisions and elevated the conversations/negotiations at a higher level within Walmart, gaining trust and overall increasing market share in a sustainable way by bringing fact-based solutions.

Currently Daniel is President and General Manager for Legendary Holdings, which is part of Outdoor Cap, leading teams in San Diego, Mexico and overseas Operations.

Mr. Boone holds a Industrial & System Engineering Bachelors degree from Instituto Tecnologico the Monterrey (ITESM) and has successfully finished D1: Programa de Perfeccionamiento en Alta Direccion de Empresa (Equivalent to MBA) from IPADE (Business School)

He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and has participated and supported  every community he has lived at, including fundraisers, Habitat for Humanity, and food banks. Currently his biggest support to the community is with the local Food Bank where he has led the largest food drive for the last 4 years. He loves to be outdoors and spend his time with wife, Brenda, and their children Sofia and Daniel. His favorite quote is “Make today count.”
