FVC Responds to Texas Flooding with SDIA

When disaster strikes, communities often look to their heroes, military members, veterans, first responders, and their families to help rebuild. In the aftermath of devastating floods across Central and Southwest Texas, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) has continued to engage these brave individuals, providing vital disaster response missions that foster camaraderie and promote post-traumatic growth. Recently, SDIA teamed up with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) Texas Chapter, led by President Dan Legereit, to support flood cleanup efforts in Kerrville, TX.

Rally Time: Tuesday, May 20 at 1pm in Rogers, AR

Deployment Details: Dodge County, WI

The Midwest area was hit by several tornadoes throughout Friday, May 16, with more projected to hit throughout this weekend. Several fatalities and injuries have been reported, and many communities are dealing with widespread damage following this outbreak.

DISASTER RESPONSE MISSION: HURRICANE HELENE DEPLOYMENT

The Sheep Dog Impact Assistance team will be deploying a Disaster Response (DR) Team to Florida in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

The DR Team will rally at the Center for Nonprofits in Rogers, Arkansas on Monday, September 30th at 8 AM to gear up and brief before we start our mission. We will also have a secondary meet-up point in the Levy County area including Perry, FL and the surrounding areas.

DISASTER RESPONSE MISSION: NWA STATUS UPDATE

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance is coordinating from the Center for Nonprofits (1200 W. Walnut St., Rogers, AR 72756) parking lot. The back lot where the Sheep Dog vehicles are parked. There will be a daily meet-up and safety brief at 08:30 AM, every day through the weekend. To go out with a team be at the safety briefing.

We will have volunteer t-shirts for you but supplies are limited, if you have previous DRM attire please wear that. Please wear jeans and heavy shoes, bring gloves and if you have any personal safety equipment.

Disaster Response Mission: NWA Status Update

In the aftermath of the recent severe storm, the Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) Disaster Response Team has been diligently monitoring the damage and is actively coordinating relief efforts. Northwest Arkansas is our home and this community is very important to us. Our teams will be working together with our local first responders and emergency management personnel to help any way we can.
