Who Supports the Ones Standing Beside Our Sheep Dogs? Introducing Homefront Military Members, Veterans, and First Responders are trained to run toward difficult things. But they rarely run toward them alone. Behind many of our nation’s Sheep Dogs is a spouse or partner navigating the other side of service: deployments, long shifts, missed holidays, uncertainty, transition, trauma, reintegration, career changes, family responsibilities, and the complicated work of loving someone whose experiences may have changed them. These spouses and partners become experts at adapting. At holding things together. At keeping moving. At being the strong one. But who supports them? In August 2026, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) took an important step toward answering that question with the inaugural class of the Homefront Support Program, an extension of Warrior PATHH created specifically for the spouses and partners of Military Members, Veterans, and First Responders.
