25 Years Later: Honor 9/11 with the 2026 Memorial Stair Climb at Razorback Stadium

25 years. 110 flights. We remember.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, members of the Northwest Arkansas community are invited to come together at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a special 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb recognizing the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

For Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA), this is also a powerful opportunity to live out a message at the heart of our mission: #GetOffTheCouch.

Get up. Show up. Remember. Honor. Serve..

Climbing in their memory

Participants will climb 110 flights, representing the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers.

Each step offers an opportunity to remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, military members, and civilians whose lives were lost on September 11, as well as those whose lives were forever changed in the years that followed.

Some climbed those stairs that morning to save people they had never met.

Twenty-five years later, we have the opportunity to climb for them.

This Memorial Stair Climb isn’t about speed or competition. It is about remembrance through action.

It is about courage. Service. Sacrifice. And ensuring they are never forgotten.

A meaningful #getoffthecouch opportunity

At Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, Get Off The Couch™ means more than simply becoming physically active.

It is an invitation to move toward purpose, connection, service, and meaningful action.

The 25th anniversary of 9/11 gives our community an especially meaningful reason to do exactly that.

Rather than allowing September 11 to become another date we acknowledge while scrolling past a remembrance post, we can physically show up. We can climb. We can talk with our children about what happened and why we remember. We can stand alongside veterans, first responders, military members, families, friends, and neighbors.

And even if you cannot participate in the climb yourself, you can help by sharing this opportunity with someone who can.

That is how remembrance continues from one generation to the next.

The event is hosted by the University of Arkansas Army & Air Force ROTC.

We encourage SDIA supporters, volunteers, Sheep Dogs, military and first responder families, and Northwest Arkansas community members to join us and/or share this event with friends and family.

Honor. Remember. Commit.

Twenty-five years is a milestone, but remembrance shouldn’t have an expiration date.

For those of us who remember September 11, 2001, this anniversary is an opportunity to carry those memories forward. For younger generations who weren’t yet alive, it is an opportunity to help them understand the courage, sacrifice, service, and extraordinary humanity that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days.

Some climbed for others.

Today, we climb for them.

This September 11, find your way to #GetOffTheCouch.

Climb. Attend. Share. Remember.

Because 25 years later, we have not forgotten.
