Heroes Ranch in Jane, Missouri, is the heart of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance’s (SDIA) Get Off The Couch™ programming for our nation’s “Sheep Dogs.” By hosting physical activities (Outdoor Adventures), peer-to-peer training (Warrior PATHH), and volunteer opportunities (Continued Service/Disaster Response), these no-cost programs have fostered camaraderie and healing, and opened the door for life-changing posttraumatic growth (PTG) for more than 5,000 people to date.
Unveiled in July 2023, the state-of-the-art $1.5 million Heroes Ranch Training Facility (HRTF) is located on 60+ acres 25 minutes north of Bentonville, Arkansas. It’s the perfect backdrop to kickstart transformative change in the lives of our nation’s heroes with trails, a labyrinth, archery range, mountain biking, a court for basketball & pickleball, yoga studio, cave exploring, and more. The working ranch, home to Scottish Highland cows and horses, provides a peaceful retreat for participants to disconnect, recharge, and rediscover camaraderie.
To expand our PTG programming, we are building a covered equine arena which will allow us to offer equine-assisted therapy at Heroes Ranch. Construction is already underway, but we need your support to complete this vital project. Consider donating today.
