hope this letter finds you well. It is with great pleasure that we share our Impact Report with you. The report highlights the incredible achievements and impact that Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) has made in the lives of military personnel, veterans, first responders, and communities across the nation, all made possible by the generosity of supporters like you.

Through the expansion of our Get Off the Couch® programming, we have been able to reach even more Sheep Dogs and provide them with the transformative tools and support needed for their unique journeys. Our dedication to fostering personal growth and camaraderie has been realized through this expansion. In 2023, we have seen great success in strengthening the bonds among our heroes while promoting mental and physical well-being.

This Impact Report aims to provide a transparent and comprehensive overview of our activities, accomplishments, and the tangible outcomes of our programs in 2023. We understand the importance of accountability and transparency, and we are proud to showcase the results of our collective efforts in a manner that reflects our commitment to excellence.

A Letter from out CEO & Founder

Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) is a positive psychological transformation that can happen after trauma. PTG is the defining element of

The science of PTG demonstrates that when we’re forced to reflect on our lives and make sense of the destruction caused by trauma, our struggles can become a catalyst for change.

PTG is a process whereby we transform our struggle into a new path, and an outcome where we experience positive changes because of the struggle in the aftermath of trauma.

SDIA teaches practices to foster PTG in all 3 of our program pillars - Outdoor Adventures, Warrior PATHH, and Continued Service.

Post Traumatic Growth

As our primary Get Off The Couch® program, Outdoor Adventures are transformative experiences that ENGAGE Sheep Dogs and introduce PTG by providing Sheep Dogs with opportunities to overcome challenges, discover new strengths, and undergo positive personal transformations. Beyond physical healing, these activities are crucial for cultivating camaraderie, fostering a positive mindset, and shaping a resilient perspective.

Outdoor Adventures

Warrior PATHH (Progressive and Alternative Training for Helping Heroes) is the first training program to designed to ASSIST our nation’s military personnel, veterans, and first responders to foster lifelong PTG. This 90-day, non-clinical, peer-delivered program commences with a powerful 7-day intensive initiation, followed by 3 months of unwavering support, training, accountability, and connection provided by a dedicated team of trained veterans and first responders.

Warrior PATHH teaches our nation’s heroes that their trauma does not have to be the end of the road, rather it can be the path to a new beginning.

Continued Service remains at the core of SDIA's foundation and stands as our ongoing primary volunteerism component of our Get Off The Couch® programming. These missions EMPOWER our Sheep Dogs, enabling them to extend their service to communities and country during critical times and fulfill their innate desire to serve.

Located in Jane, Missouri, Heroes Ranch and the Heroes Ranch Training Facility serves as the primary hub for SDIA’s Get Off The Couch® programming,

SDIA is excited to share that the Heroes Ranch Training Facility - a $1.5 million debt-free state-of-the-art facility encompassing two dormitories and main building with a classroom, library, kitchen, and dining area - celebrated its grand opening on July 13, 2023, SDIA’s 13th Anniversary.

The Heroes Ranch Training Facility, the 5 additional facilities on Heroes Ranch, and the 50+ acres of beautiful landscape have allowed participants to find opportunities to Get Off The Couch®, discover hope and begin healing

Heroes Ranch

Henry Moore's remarkable journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to service and the well-being of those around him. Joining the US Marine Corps in 1988, he served active duty for 6 years before transferring to the Marine Corps Reserve. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a respected figure known for his strong leadership and tough love approach - acting as the first positive male figure for many young Marines under his charge. While still serving in the Marine Corps, Henry joined Little Rock Police Department in 1996 - continuing on to achieve his dream position as a SWAT officer, and becoming a specialist in active shooter training.

Despite his demanding schedule, Moore accepted the role of Department Wellness Officer, eventually becoming the first full-time officer of it’s kind in Arkansas. His success in promoting well-being within the department reflects his commitment to supporting fellow service members and law enforcement officers. Beyond his professional duties, Henry actively advocates for mental wellness programs like Warrior PATHH, using his personal experience and powerful testimony as a graduate of the program. Henry Moore remains a resilient figure and a beacon of support for his colleagues.

SDIA has been blessed to partner with Hull Dermatology & Aesthetics since 2022, and since then, the outpouring of support and generosity from Dr. Hull and her whole team has been monumental.

Dr. Hull's support has been crucial to our Get Off The Couch™ programming and our ability to complete the Heroes Ranch Training Facility in 2023. Her support has been instrumental in the development of Heroes Ranch in order to serve more Sheep Dogs than ever and in a more effective way.

The generous contributions from Dr. Hull and Hull Dermatology & Aesthetics have changed the lives of countless Sheep Dogs, and SDIA is extremely grateful for the continued partnership with this amazing company.
