Sheep Dog Impact Assistance will deploy on a Disaster Response Mission (DRM) to the Southeast United States in response to recent severe storm activity.

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance will deploy on a Disaster Response Mission (DRM) to the Southeast United States in response to recent severe storm activity.

Deployment Details:
Departure Date: Monday, March 17, 2025
Departure Location: Center for Nonprofits (CFN)
Team Meet-up Time: 0900 hours
Mission Duration: 5 days (03/17/2025 – 03/21/2025)

Registration Information:
Team members who are available to deploy should CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
After registering, you will receive further information regarding the mission location and logistics. We should have a deployment location by noon, Sunday, March 16.

Partial Deployment Option:
If you cannot commit to the full 5-day mission period, you may still participate for available days, provided you arrange your own transportation to and from the designated rally point.

Requirements for Deployment – All Registrants MUST:
●Register as a DRM Volunteer using this button 
●Have proof of Health/Medical insurance;
●Be able to transport yourself to the rally point; and
●Be able to pay for your expenses to/from the rally point.

REQUIRED DRM GEAR
●Sturdy, above-ankle boots. Steel-toed boots are preferred.
●Heavy work/duty pants and belt
●Shirts (Red DRM SDIA logo shirts, long or short sleeves) *
●Work Gloves+
●Eye Protection and/or Sunglasses
●Ear Protection+
●Cap/Hat, Bandana
●CPAP with 25’ extension cord.
●3-Season Sleeping Bag.
●Sunscreen and Bug Spray+
●Personal items:
-Government-issued ID,
-cash, credit/debit card,
-medications (prescriptions, pain reliever, allergy)
●Rain gear/poncho
●Tent
●Cot or sleeping pad

*SDIA red DRM shirts will be provided if you do not have any.
 
RECOMMENDED GEAR
●Long sleeve shirt to fit under the SDIA shirt. Helps prevent scratches and cuts from downed tree removal.
●Cold Weather Gear depending on the season.
●Camelback/Water bottle
●Pocket knife
●Basic first aid kit (bandages, antiseptic ointment, small scissors, pain reliever, tweezers, burn cream, and moleskin)
●Misc. Items: snacks, water, duct tape, lip balm, dry bags, Ziplock/trash bags, matches/lighter, camera, notebook and pen, flashlight/head lamp, extra batteries,
●Extra clothing, shoes or boots, socks
●Rain gear/poncho
●Food/beverages (in small cooler) +
●Hygiene kit (soap, toothbrush, towel & washcloth, toilet paper, etc) +
●Baby wipes +
●Personal items: Hand sanitizer, phone charger, wet wipes, tissues, etc.
●Portable stove (just in case you need a hot drink in the morning, and we don’t have.
●Extra clothing, shoes or boots, socks
●Rain gear/ponchoFood/beverages (in small cooler) +
●Underwear
●Shower Shoes
●Sewing Kit
●Day Backpack to transport your gear from location to location
●Feminine hygiene products
●Q-Tips
●Scissors or nail clippers
●Charger block and cables and/or Battery bank (for cell phones)
●Rechargeable Drill, Impact Wrench, Nail Gun with charger and spare batteries. Used for tarping roofs.  (Down in Florida, Jeff came up with a new way to tarp that is bulletproof.) 

What Not To Bring
●Alcohol
●Any drug not prescribed by a doctor
●Anything you do not want lost/stolen/broken/thrown around
●If you bring a firearm, it must be secured in your vehicle with a lock
