FVC Responds to Texas Flooding with SDIA
When disaster strikes, communities often look to their heroes, military members, veterans, first responders, and their families to help rebuild. In the aftermath of devastating floods across Central and Southwest Texas, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) has continued to engage these brave individuals, providing vital disaster response missions that foster camaraderie and promote post-traumatic growth. Recently, SDIA teamed up with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) Texas Chapter, led by President Dan Legereit, to support flood cleanup efforts in Kerrville, TX.

Why We Do What We Do
Every day, veterans and first responders—our nation’s Sheep Dogs—quietly carry the weight of their service. Many return home or come off shift changed, unseen, and unsupported. At Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA), we believe that no hero should feel left behind after the uniform comes off.
That’s why we exist: to help our nation’s protectors Get Off The Couch...

In Honor of Bernie Marcus
This is a great loss for our veteran community, and words cannot fully capture the depth of Bernie Marcus’s impact. As many of you may know, Bernie was a steadfast and primary supporter of Warrior PATHH (Progressive Alternative Training for Healing Heroes) and the PTG (Post Traumatic Growth) efforts, which have been transformative in supporting our nation’s veterans. Through his generosity and vision, Bernie helped provide invaluable resources and opportunities for veterans to heal and thrive, especially in addressing the unique challenges they face when returning to civilian life.
Posttraumatic Growth Day
June 13th is National Posttraumatic Growth Day.
Today is the day we shine a light on how struggle can be a catalyst for profound transformation, and that growth is possible in the aftermath of trauma.
Join us in honoring powerful stories
of growth. We hope you will watch the Choose Growth film
and share your story using #ChooseGrowth.
Let’s embrace the possibility of growth together.
Who We Are
Founded in 2010, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is the national non-profit providing charitable services benefiting the overall well-being of our nation’s “Sheep Dogs” (military personnel, veterans, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and EMS) through Outdoor Adventures (physical activity), Warrior PATHH training (mental wellness) and Continued Service/Disaster Response (volunteerism) programs – called our Get Off The Couch® programming.
SDIA Yellowstone Outdoor Adventure
The #SDIA #OutdoorAdventure team is dedicated to organizing thrilling and awe-inspiring Outdoor Adventure experiences. Our participants gain insights into posttraumatic growth while relishing the exhilarating moments that Yellowstone offers. These men and women have experienced the thrill of the national park and the life-changing introduction to posttraumatic growth. Bringing home with them revitalized spirits and powerful insights into their trauma and their growth potential.
