Our heartfelt gratitude to the 250-plus volunteers who dedicated their time and efforts to help Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) in our disaster response mission efforts in Northwest Arkansas. Your commitment and hard work have been invaluable, and we have made significant progress thanks to your contributions.

However, there is still more work to be done. The impact of recent storms has left our community in need of continued support. At this point, we do not have plans for a formal additional response.

Samaritans Purse at 833-747-1234 will have response teams in the NWA area through June.

The Center for Non-Profits will be hosting a FEMA In Person Disaster Relief Assistance Event at the Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary’s in McAuley Hall this Wednesday June 12, 2024 from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Thursday June 13, 2024 from 8:00am to 3:30pm.  Please share with anyone that is in need of assistance from the tornado that hit the Rogers area May 26.

In response to the recent severe weather in Northwest Arkansas, Dress for Success is providing an outlet to impacted female-identifying individuals in the area who may be in need of clothing and personal hygiene products. We ask for those interested to fill out the form below by June 19, 2024. Distribution of items will take place on June 26, 2024 between 12:00 pm and 3:30 at The Center for Nonprofits.

In light of the recent storms, the City of Rogers has compiled a list of resources and other information to assist with disaster relief. Below, you can find information on FEMA, debris pickup and drop-off locations, and other helpful articles. This page will continue to be updated with the most current information.

Thank you once again for your continued dedication. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our community.

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) exists to engage, assist, and empower Sheep Dogs (military, veterans, and first responders) through Get Off The Couch programming to improve their overall physical and mental well-being. Through our programs, Sheep Dogs who have suffered similar traumas and experiences gather for camaraderie and opportunities to continue serving, which helps prevent suicides in our military personnel, veteran, and first responder communities. Our Sheep Dogs will engage with continued service opportunities such as the current Disaster Response Mission (DRM) in Northwest Arkansas. On these missions, they will get off the couch and assist our NWA community with disaster relief services such as tree removal, roof/home tarping, emergency supplies, and donation distribution. Our goal is to lead our Sheep Dogs and communities towards post-traumatic growth through our active example.
