2013 Sheep Dog of the Year Recipients
At this years 2nd Annual Sheep Dog Charity Ball, we awarded our first ever Sheep Dog of the Year recipients. This will be an annual award designed to recognize one person from each of our service organizations, a law enforcement officer, fireman, EMT, and military service member.

Capt. Andy Lee was selected as the 2013 Law Enforcement Sheep Dog of the Year! Before beginning an amazing 18 year career in Law Enforcement, Andy also overachieved in the military. Andy has much to take pride in and we are certainly proud to have him selected as this years award recipient.
Capt. Josh Chapman was selected as the 2013 Fire & Rescue Sheep Dog of the Year! Josh has performed at an exceptional level as a fireman, earning a stellar reputation among his peers and the community as a whole. A BIG congratulations to Josh Chapman!
Lt. Tyrell Shelley was selected as the 2013 EMS Sheep Dog of the Year! Ty comes from a proud family of paramedics and firemen, a family tradition that surely helped lead him into a very successful career as a Fire & Rescue Paramedic. Congratulations to Ty Shelley!
TSgt Justin Bobbitt was selected as the 2013 Military Sheep Dog of the Year! We are very proud of Justin and his stellar career as both an Airman and State Trooper that lead to his selection as the 2013 award recipient.
Jessica Mesko was selected as our SDIA Volunteer of the Year! Jess has shown tremendous volunteer support and effort by deploying on three different disaster relief missions with us in the past year, and has supported us during multiple fund raising events. We could not be more proud of Jess, she exemplifies everything SDIA stands for, and follows the true spirit of our organization – Helping Others Is A Way Of Life!
