Join us for a night of celebrating 11 years of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance and our nation’s heroes!

Over the past 11 years, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) has grown into a national 501c3 nonprofit. With your help, SDIA has been able to engage, assist and empower thousands of Sheep Dogs in need by helping them #GetOffTheCouch. This is accomplished through our three programs:

  • Outdoor Adventures to engage them with camaraderie and healing;
  • Warrior PATHH training to assist them in learning to transform their struggle into strength; and
  • Continued Service where Sheep Dogs are empowered to discover the power of “Helping is Healing” as they serve others through Disaster Response Missionst and community service.

The Celebration will be held in the courtyard area between the shops, and will also have Sheep Dog vehicles and family-friendly activities in the parking lot.  We’ll have silent and live auctions, music, a picnic-style dinner, and FIREWORKS!

Thank you for making the missions of SDIA possible! Please join us on October 9th and Celebrate a wonderful 11 years of SDIA and our nation’s heroes!

Special Guests

Guest Speaker
SGT Sergio Trejo, US Army (Ret.)
Purple Heart Recipient

Sergio is a long-time SDIA member who was severely wounded on his second deployment to Iraq; doctors first thought his paralysis would be permanent, but he regained all function in his arms and legs. But he – like many injured Veterans – had lost what he thought was his sole purpose in life. After years of rehabilitation, anger and struggle, Sergio was challenged to go SCUBA diving – and through that challenge, he found his purpose. He founded Tre Charters LLC and Operation Til Valhalla, and now helps fellow combat-wounded warriors #GetOffTheCouch on fishing and SCUBA diving trips outside Galveston, TX.
Sergio has been part of SDIA since nearly the beginning, and we are thrilled to have him with us as we celebrate TEN years of helping Sheep Dogs #GetOffTheCouch.

Guest of Honor
SGT Noah Galloway, US Army Veteran
Purple Heart Recipient

SGT Noah Galloway, a Birmingham, Alabama native, joined the Army because of the September 11 terrorist attacks. From the moment he joined, he loved his job and knew he’d retire an old Army guy or die in combat. However, in 2005 – just three months into his second tour of duty fighting in Operation Iraqi Freedom, the Humvee he was driving hit an improvised explosive device, throwing the 9,000 lb heavily armored vehicle across the road and into a canal. Noah lost his left arm above the elbow, his left leg above the knee, and suffered numerous other injuries requiring a lengthy and painful recovery and rehabilitation. But he had lost more than two limbs…he had lost his purpose…the job he loved. For five years he was in a deep depression and self-medicated with alcohol. When he finally accepted his losses and focused on what he had, Noah was able to fight his way out of his depression. In 2014 he was named the Men’s Health “Ultimate Men’s Health Guy“, and went on to become a finalist in Season 20 of “Dancing with the Stars”, placing third with dancer Sharna Burgess.  Their contemporary dance chronicles his journey after accepting his life-changing injuries. Noah is now a motivational speaker and author; his book, “Living with No Excuses: The Remarkable Rebirth of an American Soldier” was published in August 2016.
