On May 28th we are hosting a Memorial Day 5K Run & 1 Mile fun walk to raise funds for our Search & Rescue dog program. You can run/walk with or without your dog. Come out with the whole family and enjoy a great start to the day remembering the brave men and women who have given their lives in sacrifice to our nation. There will be door prizes and entertainment for the entire family, and the opportunity to meet our SAR dogs! Below you will find basic information for the event. Benefiting – Sheep Dog Impact Assistance and their Search & Rescue (SAR) Dog Training Program
Event: Memorial Day Pack Run 2012/5K Charity Run & 1-Mile Fun Walk at the Center for Nonprofits @ St Mary’s in the heart of Rogers, AR.
Date & Time: Monday, May 28th, 2012, Race Start Time is 9:00 AM.
Location: Center for Non-Profits at the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, AR.
Organizers: The 2012 Memorial Day Pack Run Committee, comprised of Northwest Arkansas community volunteers and philanthropists, seek to provide a fun family event, benefiting Sheep Dog Impact Assistance and their Search & Rescue (SAR) dog training program.
Participants: This race is open to the general public, any and all race/fun walk enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. Supporters and sponsors of the 1st Annual Memorial Day Pack Run.
Amenities: We will have a 5K/3-Mile Run, and 1-Mile Fun Walk route; concessions; bounce houses; face painting; sponsor giveaways, and much more. Fun for the entire family! The first 200 runners/walkers to sign-up will receive a 2012 Memorial Day Pack Run t-shirt. The first 40 runners (by age) to cross the finish line will receive a Memorial Day Pack Run medallion.
Beneficiaries: Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, headquartered in Rogers AR, focuses on engaging and supporting the needs of our veteran “Sheep Dogs”; society’s protectors, the men and women that form the ranks of America’s military, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and EMS. Disaster relief missions, and disaster preparedness education classes for communities in need is an additional part of their mission. Helping Others is a Way of Life
