All of us at Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) are so very grateful for your support of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) and the brave men and women that we serve. Our Outdoor Adventures, Warrior PATHH training, and Disaster Response Mission/Continued Service programs – and the positive life-change they inspire – would not be possible without YOU. THANK YOU for believing in SDIA and our mission to engage, assist and empower our nation’s Sheep Dogs (Veterans and First Responders). A lot has happened for us in 2021, and SDIA’s future looks very bright thanks to you.
- Outdoor Adventures: nearly 300 Sheep Dogs participated in 21 adventures.
- Warrior PATHH: As a proud member of the Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network, SDIA has facilitated 8 courses teaching more than 110 Sheep Dogs how to make peace with their past, live in the present & plan for a great future through posttraumatic growth (PTG).
- Continued Service opportunities (disaster response missions & community-level projects) provided more than 300 Sheep Dogs with ways to give back and continue serving, assisting nearly 3,500 people and their families.
- SDIA broke ground on the dedicated Warrior PATHH Training Facility on Veterans Day!
Because of YOU, a Hero will reengage in living life to the fullest. While it often looks like we are “just having fun,” for those who are depressed, lonely, anxious, isolated, or suicidal, being around fellow Sheep Dogs can help them heal and give them a sense of belonging and purpose. None of this is possible without you and your support.
Thank you, and we hope you have a holiday season that leaves you abundantly blessed.
Gratefully,
SgtMaj Lance Nutt, USMC (Ret.
Warrior PATHH Training Facility
On Veterans Day, November 11, 2021, we officially broke ground on our dedicated Warrior PATHH Training Facility on the hill overlooking Heroes Ranch. The Training Facility will be a multi-use building with a classroom, large kitchen and dining area, a lounge and dorm rooms to house students and participants. The grounds also include an archery range, labyrinth, and hiking/walking paths, with Heroes Garden planned for the spring. We hope to host the first Warrior PATHH course in this building in the Spring of 2022.
As we begin building the Facility, we would love to have you and/or your company help us secure needed materials at a discounted rate or donated outright (we will provide a tax receipt). If you are interested in being part of this life-changing project, please contact Jayme Lingo at JLingo@SheepDogIA.org.
