SDIA Named CTL Non-Profit Partner for Second Straight Year

We are thrilled to share with you that SDIA has been selected as a Carry The Load (CTL) Non-Profit Partner for the second straight year! Over the past few years, we have established a rewarding relationship with CTL, and look forward to participating again in their Memorial May events.
While this partnership has more benefits for us on an operational level, increasing awareness of SDIA through CTL’s vast network of like-minded organizations will benefit everyone associated with us. Increased awareness means more interest, more members, new Teams & Chapters, more financial support and more Sheep Dogs for us to engage, assist and empower on a national level.

Last year, SDIA had great participation in CTL’s Memorial May events – but we want to do more in 2018 to show CTL and our country how we can all honor and help our nation’s Sheep Dogs. Participation is whatever you can do – contribute financially, walk 5 or more miles on the Relay – you name it! Our SDIA Team is up and ready to accept all participants. Follow these simple steps to join our team:

  • Visit www.carrytheload.org/sheepdog;
  • Click ‘Join Team;’
  • Complete the information requested (note that you may make a financial donation now or later and/or indicate how else you might participate);
  • Agree to the Release and Waiver of Liability; and
  • Click ‘Complete Registration.’
  • If you’re interested in participating with SDIA in the Relay and/or Memorial March, be sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter! You can opt-in on our website in the bottom right of the page.

Carry The Load is a non-profit founded in 2011 dedicated to providing active, meaningful ways to honor and celebrate the sacrifices made by our nation’s Sheep Dogs and their families. What started as a mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day has broadened to include more than just our military heroes and more than just the one holiday. In 2017, supporters walked through 19+ states with Rallies in nearly 50 cities throughout the country. The Memorial May Awareness campaign raised over $15M and also provides funding for Carry The Load’s Continuum of Care program and Non-Profit Partners.
For more information on Carry The Load, visit their website at www.CarryTheLoad.org – and watch for information on SDIA’s participation in this year’s East and West Coast Relays as well as the finale Memorial March on Memorial Day!
