Christmas Outreach 2013
Wow! What else can we say about this years Christmas Outreach and the people that made this years program such an amazing success. More than 130 children of Sheep Dog families in need were adopted this Christmas. Providing clothes and toys to children of military and first responder families struggling through this holiday season.

Thanksgiving Meals & 2013 Turkey Trot
There is no better way to spend Thanksgiving week than packing out meals for Sheep Dog families in need. SDIA was able to provide more than 60 military and first responder families with a Turkey and all the trimmings for Thanksgiving, feeding more than 250 Sheep Dogs and their family members.
We cannot say Thank You enough to our supporters and volunteers for making this years outreach better than ever. The ability to feed and assist fellow Sheep Dogs and their families in need during Thanksgiving is critical to mission accomplishment.
Disaster Relief Mission to Brookport, IL
We found ourselves ready as severe thunderstorms and tornadoes left a trail of destruction across the Midwest. The massive tornadoes that ripped through several communities across the region, such as Washington and Brookport, Illinois, left several communities shattered, and in desperate need of assistance.
2013 NWA Turkey Trot
The sixth annual 5K run and one-mile Fun Walk race time begins at 8 a.m. at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend. The event is sponsored by Sheep Dog Impact Assistance and the Springdale Police Department. “This is our second biggest fundraiser of the year and could grow into our biggest fundraiser in coming years,” said Sgt. Maj. Lance Nutt, President and Founder of S.D.I.A.
Sheep Dog Hunt 2013
Our first Sheep Dog Hunt, sponsored by Pro Trucks of Siloam Springs, AR, was an amazing experience for all that attended. SDIA and Pro Trucks teamed up to sponsor two Wounded Warrior Sheep Dogs, Cpl Nick Perales and Sgt Jason Shaw, for a three day hunt in northwest Texas. The Pro Trucks and Turkey Creek Ranch team did a phenomenal job entertaining Nick and Jason, along with our two “spoiled” SDIA staff members, John Pope and Ty Shelley, who attended as sponsors.
Super Spartan 2013
Our 2013 Super Spartan Race in central Virginia was an experience not soon to be forgotten by the many Sheep Dogs and supporters that ran the race with us. The camaraderie, challenging Spartan Race, and the gorgeous views of the surrounding Virginia countryside made this one of our most memorable events to date. We could not be more proud of the Sheep Dog/Wounded Warrior members, guests and supporters that ran the race with us. We met some amazing people along the route, and always, the support shown by fellow racers makes these adventure races even more rewarding.
Patriot Day 2013
Join us on Sept 7th in honoring the daily service and sacrifice made by so many of our nations Sheep Dogs. Show your support for our military, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and EMS personnel. Spend the day with your family learning more about the men and women protecting us on a daily basis, use this as an opportunity to say Thank You.
Honoring Our Nation’s Heroes
In a partnership between New Creature and Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA), a special vehicle wrap is being created to honor service members & first responders, past and present, by portraying photos of them on a specially designed vehicle. This vehicle will be on display at multiple SDIA events and community outreach programs throughout the year.
Moore, Ok and St. Louis Disaster Relief Missions
This Spring brought with it several wild tornado outbreaks. Moore and central Oklahoma took the brunt of this seasons storms, with other communities like St. Louis, MO receiving extensive damage as well. In Moore, OK a giant tornado, a mile wide or more, tore through the Oklahoma City suburb, flattening homes and destroying lives. At least 23 people were killed because of this storm. SDIA had teams on the ground in Moore within 24 hours of the the tornado touching down. Three Sheep Dog Chapters & Teams sent personnel and supplies into the community of Moore.
